12.5%, pH 3.20, TA 0.68, 118 cases, $48. This vineyard is a neighbor of Winderlea located just west, owned and farmed by Mike and Robin Murto. Planted in 1978 at 400’ to 700’ elevation on a south-facing slope. Pommard and Wädenswil clones. Aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 38% new. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. The nose leads with bright aromas of black cherry, red berry spread, and white pepper. Flavored with black cherry and plum fruits, this polished, fruit-driven and high-strung wine is easy to like now. The soprano finish has good depth of fruit flavor. Score: 89.
