2013 Windy Oaks Estate Charmant Mountain Vineyard Diane’s Block Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir

13.5% alc., $45. A 5-acre, former apple orchard, 600 feet above Monterey Bay, slight warmer than the Schultze Family Vineyard. Unfined and unfiltered. · Moderately light cherry red color in the glass. Deep cherry aromas with a hint of rose petal. Forward drinking, mid weight plus flavors of black cherry framed by balanced dry tannins and a touch of oak. Seductive and silky in the mouth, with a broad-shouldered display of fruit on the finish.
