14.4% alc., 1050 cases, $20. 56% San Benito County (Vista Verde Vineyard), 24% Sonoma County (Morelli Lane Vineyard), and 20% Monterey County (White Sage Vineyard). Winemakers Aaron and Jesse Inman have made wine since 2006. They were raised by gold-mining parents. The wine company was named after on of the more memorable mines of their youth. “Wines made with intention, not pretension.” Aged 10 months in French oak barrels. · Light ruby red color in the glass. An easygoing, elegantly styled wine with aromas and flavors of dark red cherry and raspberry framed by silken tannins and a sniff of oak. 2010 Williams Selyem Limestone Ridge at Vista Verde Vineyard San Benito County Chenin Blanc

12.8% alc., $25. Winery exclusive. Cold fermented in concrete egg-shaped fermenters imported from France. Fermented dry with no malo-lactic to capture the influence of the limestone soil in this block of the vineyard. · Aromas of petrichor and grapefruit lead to flavors of melon, pear and green tea. 2008 Dept C Vista Verde Vineyard San Benito County Pinot Noir

14.0% alc., pH 3.70, TA 0.55, $40. This producer crafts small lots of Pinot Noir from family farmed vineyards. Pommard clone from a vineyard block planted in 1988. 10% whole cluster. Aged in 20% new oak. · Moderately light reddish-purple color in the glass. Brooding nose with demure scent of black cherry and oak. Nicely flavored with discreetly concentrated black cherry and raspberry essence supported by restrained oak. Supple tannins with a dry finish. Source: website. Good. 2008 Williams Selyem Vista Verde Vineyard San Benito County Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., pH 3.49, $54. Released fall 2010. This heavy limestone vineyard is located near Hollister in the Central Coast. Clones are Calera, Canada and Pommard. Aged 18 months in 70% new and 30% 1-year-old French oak barrels. · Intriguing aromas of dark red fruits, plum sauce, rose petals and oak. An individualistic wine sporting bright acidity to bring the berry and red plum fruit to life. A subtle spice cake component adds interest. 2007 Williams Selyem Vista Verde Vineyard San Benito County Pinot Noir

13.9% alc., $54. · This wine offers an interesting array of scents including fresh berries, black currants, vanillin oak and stem. Moderately rich middle palate of cherry and berry fruit with a hint of citrus bringing up the rear. Bright and juicy with moderate persistence on the finish. Solid but not spectacular.
