Vineyard: Clos Napoleon
Articles mentioning wines produced from this vineyardWineries sourcing from this vineyardReviewed wines produced from this vineyard2010 Sandler Wine Co. Clos Pepe Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir 14.8% alc., · Medium reddish-purple color in the glass. Aromas of oak-kissed black cherries, brier and a hint of alcohol. Silky smooth on the palate with a moderate heft, offering flavors of dark red cherries and berries with a hint of citrus peel in the background. Mild tannins make for easy drinking now, but best to wait. Much better two days later from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. Very good. Reviewed April 4, 2012 WINERY » ARTICLE »
2005 Domaine Gelin Fixin 1er Cru Clos Napoleon 13.5% alc., $37. · Hi-tone red cherry nose with copious minerality, herbs and some roseate charm. Dusty cherry fruit on the attack that falls off on the tangy finish. Very light bodied and still a bit closed. Reviewed January 20, 2008 WINERY » ARTICLE »
