‘Sideways’ Sequel?

Novelist Rex Pickett was interviewed by San Francisco Chronicle staff writer W. Blake Gray in January. He asked Pickett if his next novel might be a ‘Sideways’ sequel. He said that he frequently gets asked this question and many people want to see the Jack and Miles characters come alive again. Pickett’s agents have discouraged it, but he may be leaning that way. If he does it, he plans to reverse them. Pickett said, “Miles is like me. In ‘98 when I wrote this, I had process servers at my door. What if Miles is a novelist and a success? What if Jack is divorced and a failure?”
