2006 Dutton-Goldfield Devil’s Gulch Vineyard Marin County Pinot Noirs

These are exceptional wines from a very talented winemaker and recommended. Www.dutton-goldfield.com. · The 2006 barrel sample shows a solid core of bright wild berry fruit and respectable structure that bodes well for age ability. The Devil’s Gulch berries can be quite tannic and Dan does a fine job of taming the beast. Dan was also offering tastes of his Rued Chardonnay (understated, balanced, excellent) and Devil’s Gulch Gewurztraminer (Alsatian in style and quite rare). Reviewed July 16, 2007
