2014 Van Duzer Westside Blocks Willamette Valley Oregon Pinot Noir 13.5% alc., pH 3.69, TA 0.53, 429 cases, $60. Cole Danehower Memorial Award Winner. Best Oregon Wine of Cascadia Wine Competition. Dijon 777, 113, Wädenswil, and Pommard clones. A limited selection of the best lots. · Delicate aromas of cherry, vanilla and toast lead off. Deep cherry flavor supported by integrated fine-grain tannins. Satiny smooth in texture, with noticeable length on the finish, leaving behind plenty of cherry goodness in its wake. Considerable more flavor expression when tasted the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. Score: 92. Reviewed June 25, 2017
