The aromatics are not particularly appealing, offering scents of dark fruits, fertile earth, weathered oak and oak vanillin. A full-bodied style that is plush, soft and velvety on the palate, displaying purple and black fruit flavors with a heavy dose of dark chocolate and vanilla. A fruity wine in the Meiomi style, lacking vibrancy, and finishing slightly hot. Score: 86. Reviewed September 14, 2018
