2017 Siduri Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir 14.7% alc., TA 0.65, $34, screw cap. winemaker Adam Lee’s first Santa Barbara County appellation wine. Primarily from vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills. A mix of de-stemmed grapes and whole clusters. · Moderate garnet color in the glass. Aromas of black cherry, spice and fertile earth lead off. Silky in the mouth, with middleweight flavors of cherry, strawberry and sneaky oak. Fresh, forward and simple with a modest finish. Score: 88. Reviewed January 17, 2019
