2004 Sleeping Dogs Central Otago New Zealand Pinot Noir 13.5% alc., $25, screw cap. The owner, Roger Donaldson, is a movie producer and friend of Sam Neil. The name, "Sleeping Dogs," comes from Sam Neil's first movie of the same name. Grapes were sourced from Bannockburn, Lowburn and a family vineyard on Old Gibbston Road. · Fragrant with fresh strawberries, cut flowers and herbs with dried fruit undertones. The tasty fruit flavors are very light and a good kick of acidity provides a refreshing bent to the tannic finish. Reviewed April 16, 2006 Winery: Sleeping Dogs
