Aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 50% new. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Lovely scent of black cherry with a compliment of oak. Delicious mid weight core of dark red fruits framed by firm but balanced tannins. Very comforting, with a smooth, caressing mouthfeel, and a finish that is uncommonly long and intense and fueled by a refreshing cut of acidity. Score: 93. Reviewed May 14, 2015
