2013 Sojourn Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 14.4% alc., pH 3.69, TA 0.56, 1,750 cases, $39. Release in spring 2015. A blend of eight lots from the Sojourn stall of vineyard sources with Gap’s Crown and Sangiacomo vineyards making up the majority of the blend. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Very fragrant with vibrant aromas of black cherry, raspberry, cardamom spice and a hint of toast and smoke. Mid weight plus core of earth-kissed flavors of black cherry, black raspberry, cassis, black tea and dark chocolate brownie. Nicely balanced tannins, good vibrancy, and a lengthy finish boasting plenty of spiced plum flavor. A very good AVA wine. Score: 89. Reviewed May 14, 2015
