Harvest Brix 24.1º. 15% whole cluster, 6-day cold soak, native fermentation, basket pressed, aged 11 months on the lees in French oak barrels, 40% new. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Clearly a step up in quality, with enticing aromas of black cherry, rose petal and cake spices and a mid weight plus nucleus of perfectly ripened black cherry and blackberry fruits nicely highlighted by spice. Silky and polished, with admirable balance and welcome length on the expansive finish. Score: 91. Reviewed June 5, 2015
