2013 Attune Sonoma County Pinot Noir 14.2% alc., 330 cases, $48. Sourced from an estate sustainably farmed 8.5-acre vineyard in Sonoma Carneros.The vineyard is planted with two Burgundian selections and Dijon clones 667 and 777. The winemaker is Kenneth Juhasz. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels, 60% new. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Aromas of blackberry jam, cassis, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla and prune. A husky, mid weight plus wine with a core of very ripe black raspberry and blackberry fruit flavors with a hint of prune. Notes of oak-driven dark cocoa and malt are contributory. The mouthfeel is very plush and velvety and the ruddy tannins are slightly drying. A wine fashioned in the popular “Meiomi style.” Score: 87. Reviewed June 5, 2015
