Stolo Family Vineyards & Winery is located in the town of Cambria in a restored farmhouse adjacent a 9-acre vineyard. The farmhouse and dairy barn date back to the late 1800s. Stolo Family Vineyards is the only estate winery, tasting room and vineyard in Cambria.
Don and Charlene Stolo bought 53 acres just east of the town of Cambria in 2002, including an existing vineyard less than 3 miles from the Pacific Ocean planted in 1998 to Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir and Syrah. The Stolos since planted another 20 acres of vines, and built a winery and tasting room. The first vintage of Stolo Family Vineyards wine was 2004.
The winemaker is Nicole Bertotti Pope who crafts about 1,500 cases a year. Don and Charlene's daughter, Maria Stolo Bennetti, left a career as a wine broker to become general manager in 2008. She created the Pacific Coast Wine Trail, which links together ten tasting rooms and wineries from Morro Bay to Cambria.
The winemaker is Nicole Bertotti Pope and vineyard consultant is her spouse Lucas Pope. Nicole is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo who honed her winemaking skills at Domaine Carneros and Talley Vineyards. She joined Stolo Family Vineyards in 2011.

purple color in the glass. Aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberry, anise and forest floor. Plush, generous and
silky on the palate, with considerable tobacco-tinged oak infusing the dark fruited core of fruit. The wine is
forward drinking with modest tannins and some finishing length.
