In 1986, Agustin Huneeus, then of Franciscan Estates, acquired the former Paul Mason vineyards near Soledid and established Estancia Winery. The brand is now part of Constellation.
The winery specializes in Monterey County Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The winemaker is Scott Kelley. The entry-level Pinot Noir is named Pinnacles Ranches and a second higher-end bottling is titled Reserve sourced primarily from the Stonewall Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands.

13.5% alc., $9.99. · Moderate reddish-purple color in the glass. Pleasing aromas of fresh red cherries and supportive oak. Tasty essence of dark cherries with oak highlights in the background. 2006 Estancia Reserve Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
14.5% alc., $24. · Sourced from the Stonewall Vineyard Estate. Moderately deep reddish-purple color. Bright black cherry and strawberry perfume.
