Henry Raschen (1834-1937) was a painter of the American West and lived on the land that is now Hirsch Vineyards. This block is at the vineyard's highest elevation. · Moderate garnet color in the glass. Attractive aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate and male sweat. Polished and balanced in a mid-weight style, with an array of interesting flavors including black cherry, pomegranate, exotic spice, earth and toast. Nicely composed with supportive tannins and giving at this stage. Score: 93. Reviewed July 29, 2021
