Pleasingly forward and fruit driven, with a mid weight plus core of earthy black cherry and purple berry fruits. Nicely composed with good harmony. 2013 Siduri Parson’s Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 14.9% alc., 389 cases, $49, screwcap. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Very charming aromas of black cherry pie glaze, brioche and rose petal. Juicy and silky on the palate, with a generous essence of well-ripened cherries with a riff of purple berries mixed in. 2012 Siduri Parson’s Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 14.9% alc., 258 cases, $50. Released April 2014. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Black fruits are featured with a heavy dose of charred oak and cigar box evident on the nose and palate. Luscious black cherry and blackberry core with muscular, slightly astringent tannins and a generous finish filled with plenty of fruit goodness. 2011 Siduri Parsons’ Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 14.9% alc., 420 cases, $49. From a very warm site on the Santa Rosa Plain. Typically the wines are big and ripe. Clones are 115, 777, and Pommard. Kelley Parsons farms this vineyard along with vineyard manager Jim Pratt, and she is also a noted tomato grower in the area. · Medium reddish-purple color in the glass. Vibrant, expressive nose showing aromas of berries on the vine, cherry pie and spice. A wowzer in the mouth with a gargantuan blast of very ripe and lush cherry and raspberry fruit that holds your attention on the huge finish. Soft and velvety in the mouth with enough balanced acidity and tannin to keep it on point. This wine will have fans among fruit lovers. Very good. Reviewed March 23, 2013 WINERY » ARTICLE »
2010 Siduri Parsons’ Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 14.9% alc., 197 cases, $45. · Dark reddish-purple color in the glass. Nicely perfumed with vivid aromas of black cherries, black raspberries and exotic spices. Big, bold and tasty with a full-on core of black cherry fruit with a sidecar of cola and Hoison sauce.
